We are seeking an experienced and visionary Middle School Principal and MYP Coordinator to lead and enhance our Middle Years Programme (MYP). This role requires a dynamic leader who fosters inquiry, collaboration, and academic excellence while ensuring alignment with IB standards and the school’s mission of international-mindedness. The position commences in August 2025.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & Programme Implementation
- Lead MYP curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning.
- Ensure alignment of the curriculum across grade levels.
- Support teachers in integrating IB principles, including the Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning/Teaching.
2. Staffing & Professional Development
- Oversee Middle School staffing, ensuring alignment with school and IB goals.
- Facilitate professional learning and collaborative planning.
- Provide feedback and mentorship to enhance instructional quality.
3. Student-Centred Learning & Well-being
- Monitor student progress using data-driven strategies.
- Collaborate with Student Support to foster inclusion and well-being.
- Promote social-emotional learning and skill development.
4. Community Engagement
- Communicate the MYP philosophy to parents and the school community.
- Lead parent workshops and information sessions.
- Strengthen the school’s culture of inquiry and international-mindedness.
5. Administrative & IB Compliance
- Serve as the primary IB liaison, ensuring programme compliance.
- Oversee scheduling, assessment timelines, and policy development.
- Manage the professional development budget for MYP 1-4 staff.
Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced degree in Education or a related field.
- Leadership experience in an IB MYP setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of inquiry-based teaching and international education.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.
