Building a next generation foundry for quantum processor manufacturing – We are looking for a Nanofabrication Engineer to join or team.
Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen? Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company, owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.
Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units using novel methods that meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision that are needed to bring Quantum Computing to scale.
About us
Our company is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem, and we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers at Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP www.nqcp.ku.dk) based at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. The NQCP programme is designed to facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels – from developing quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.
In close collaboration with NQCP and international partners, we aim to pioneer chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for state-of-the-art quantum processors.
Join our team
We are looking for a nanofabrication engineer to join our innovative team of talented and diverse international professionals. You will be involved in utilizing breakthrough micro- and nanofabrication tools and processes, often in cross disciplinary collaboration between tool development and quantum chip integration teams. You will be working closely with the NQCP Nanofabrication team headed by Sangeeth Kallatt.
A broad knowledge of micro/nanofabrication process flow development is therefore needed to provide a good foundation for developing next generation quantum processor components and tools. An understanding of QC protocols, yield and cleanroom toolsets are important to achieve success.
Strong project management and collaboration skills are essential to support your colleges in an interdisciplinary joint effort. Joining our team offers opportunities for professional growth, collaboration with leading experts and access to the latest cleanroom fabrication tools and processes.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will include:
Professional and Personal Qualifications
Your qualifications and experience include:
You have several years of experience and want to work at the cutting edge of technology. Your portfolio of experience may include working in different research-oriented settings and having a track record of cleanroom experience and working within ambitious development timelines.
You can see new solutions to problems and are motivated to work closely with your colleagues on the journey towards making Quantum Foundry Copenhagen one of the leading quantum foundries in the world.
You are driven and self-motivated with a focus on pace and outcomes when you work to develop the best solutions with input from highly skilled colleagues in interdisciplinary fields. Your colleagues would describe you as analytical, structured, and curious. As a team player, your constructive and collaborative workstyle inspires others.
For this position, we do not require previous experience working in quantum. If you are new to quantum, we will train you.
We offer
