Are you passionate about sustainability and reducing carbon footprints across the Nordics? Then here is a chance for you to make your mark in a developing company focusing on incorporating sustainability as part of the plan for growth!

Full-service partner within store interior design

When you need help with store interior design and retail solutions, Wanzl Nordic is the one to call. The company is the leading manufacturer and full-service supplier of shop fittings and designs in the Nordics, and they offer everything from development and planning to installation and construction.

Wanzl Nordic A/S has chosen to proactively engage in the green transition. You will play a key role in ensuring that the company prepares a sustainability profile, which can both launch the green transition internally; and externally reflect the company’s extraordinary measures to be ahead in the industry.

More specifically, you will have the following areas of responsibility and job tasks:

  • Map the current state of the company's sustainability efforts to establish a baseline
  • Develop and communicate the company's sustainability profile and green transition strategy
  • Collect, analyze, and report ESG data from Nordic units to headquarters
  • Measure and document the company's carbon footprint and identify offsetting methods
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and evolving customer needs
  • Lead and implement initiatives to reduce the company's carbon footprint across the Nordics
  • Collaborate with key departments (R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR) to enhance sustainability efforts
  • Engage employees and foster a sustainable company culture
  • Prepare and present sustainability documentation for customers and stakeholders

You will be based in the Hadsten office where you will become part of the Finance department and work closely with colleagues in R&D, HR, Sales and Supply Chain. You refer to the Nordic CFO.

Ability to lead and navigate the green transition

We are looking for a dedicated and visionary person with a strong passion for sustainability and a desire to make a real impact on a company shaping its green future. You have extensive experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies and policies with the ability to systematize processes and drive sustainability initiatives at both strategic and operational levels.

Strong analytical skills and expertise in data collection, calculations, and reporting, including carbon footprint assessments, are essential.

Moreover, the role requires excellent project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives independently and take ownership of processes from start to finish. Strong communication and collaboration skills are key, ensuring ESG data and insights are effectively translated into actionable strategies.

Experience in a medium-sized manufacturing company is an advantage, as is familiarity with working in an international context. Fluency in both Danish and English, written and spoken, is essential in this role.

Your future workplace

Through internal specialists, own production facilities and a large network of hand-picked suppliers, Wanzl Nordic offers everything from concept development and design to products, installation and rollout.

As the new Nordic ESG Manager, you will join a successful company with a focus on constant development and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The Nordic group consists of companies in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Latvia with an annual turnover of approx. 650 million DKK and a total of approx. 325 employees. Wanzl Nordic is part of the Wanzl Group, which has approx. 5,000 employees worldwide and an annual turnover of approx. 820 million euros.

As an employee at Wanzl Nordic, you can look forward to the following:

  • Good opportunities to make your mark in a company with plans for significant growth in the upcoming years
  • An informal working environment with good and cooperative colleagues
  • Good canteen arrangement
  • Active staff and art associations
  • Access to OfficeFit including local fitness room
