Overview The main purpose of this role is to develop PepsiCo’s Franchise Beverage business within Northern Europe to maximise geographical opportunities and synergies focusing on market share and profit growth.
This role will Lead, direct, and control the activities of Northern Europe so that it achieves the short and long-term financial and operating objectives (revenues, profitability, market share, etc.) as set by the overall corporate business plan. Leads, aligns and motivates MU team to achieve objectives set in PSP and AOP while building capability for future growth and conducting operations in a highly ethical manner and consistent with PepsiCo values. The GM represents the company in the relevant industry/ authorities that will promote the reputation of PepsiCo and ensure market compliance. The role will also take the new responsibility of leading Belgium, Gatorade Germany/Austria/Switzerland.
Responsibilities Responsibility for leading the profitable growth of PepsiCo’s businesses across Beverages with full P&L responsibility and accountability for a cross-functional team Develop a sustainable business strategy for PepsiCo Northern Europe FOBO . Create a superior portfolio management Accountable for the development of all distributor and bottler relationships – support bottler/distributor negotiations with key trade customers. Develop the next wave of leaders Drive the cultural and organisational change agendas to create an appropriately resourced, profitable and agile business Define business priorities for area, and lead the development of MU strategic plan Deliver quarterly results and the annual operational plan Develop and implement initiatives leading to increase in sales and profitability - responsible for the profit and loss results of the country operation Develop and manage ongoing relationships with key stakeholders in the local and Sector organization in order to leverage support for corporate initiatives Embrace and contribute to the further development of the overall PepsiCo equity Represent the business to all relevant external bodies Accountable for identifying, pioneering and developing new business opportunities Qualifications Higher education with University degree is required; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred Significant breadth of experience in Commercial roles with P&L responsibility, ideally in FMCG environment Key Account management experience / understands different channel behaviours and strategic trends and metrics. Skilled negotiator who is able to conduct multi-faceted negotiations at both tactical and strategic levels Multi-category experience would be preferable Franchise experience is not essential but would be advantageous Proven change management skills and a track record of engaging and motivating others around a change agenda. Responsive to change in a clear, positive and inclusive manner. Financial acumen demonstrated with delivery of financial results, cash-flow management and enhanced shareholder value.
