Contribute to innovative offshore engineering projects
In this role, you will be involved in dynamic analysis and simulation of high-voltage cables in the marine offshore environment. You will be part of a strong analysis team supporting various complex submarine cable projects being executed around the world. Your responsibility will be to:
Conduct dynamic cable analysis, configuration design, and in-place analysis for cables connecting to floating platforms used in floating wind and oil and gas applications.
Support with analysis within related marine engineering areas such as static cables in offshore environments, installation vessel motions and loads and similar.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Contribute to the development of NKT's methodologies, and software tools.
Work together with clients, platform developers, and sub-suppliers.
You will be part of a team based in either Brøndby, Denmark , or Karlskrona, Sweden , and will report to the Head of Simulation Services.
Proficient engineer specializing in marine systems
We are looking for a candidate who is focused, detail-oriented, and a strong team player. You should have advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. You also have:
A master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
A solid understanding of marine systems.
Experience with/knowledge of OrcaFlex or similar software.
Good skills in Matlab or Python.
Experience from stability and mooring analysis is beneficial
Knowledge or experience within marine energy systems such as floating wind is advantageous but not required.
