The Position

As our new Operational Technology (OT) Specialist within the Digitalisation & Data department, you will play a pivotal role in the transformation of production processes through innovative digital solutions. Your primary objective will be to harness the potential of data via advanced analytics and presentations tools, ensuring effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.

 

In this role, you will lead the exploration and analysis of new use cases while designing robust, future-proof solutions tailored to our complex data and application architectures. You will serve as the technical authority regarding OT data points, bridging the gap be-tween shop floor operations and business objectives to drive productivity and efficiency.

Main responsibilities:

  • Align with the Digitalisation and Data (D&D) strategy, collaborating with shop floor teams, package owners, and other stakeholders to ensure coherent implementation of initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of our overarching data strategy, ensuring it sup-ports continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Design and implement strategies for effective OT data collection, enhancing data integrity and accessibility across our platforms.
  • Partner with module and area leads to adapt and develop relevant D&D use cases that drive operational excellence.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to challenge, enhance and promote Novo Nordisk’s global application architecture while developing new solutions.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who can fulfil most of the following requirements for this position:

  • Hold a Master's, Bachelor's, or Technician degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience within the technology or life sciences sector, particularly in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-regulated environment, is essential for understanding the complexities of our operations.
  • Proven background in automation, maintenance, or operations within production environments including utilities, cleaning, formulation, filling, inspection, or other support processes that highlight hands-on expertise in manufacturing settings.
  • Strong knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) standards, including familiarity with programming languages and tools such as ISA S88, IEC 61131, ISA101, SQL, PLC programming, HMI, and Historian systems.
  • Fluency in English.

 

Furthermore, you have exceptional analytical abilities with a strategic mindset that enables you to critically assess and challenge existing solutions and incoming use cases to ensure the best outcomes. You have a proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, clearly communicating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders. Addition-ally, you have a strong interest in exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies that drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Your adaptability, attention to detail, and can-do-attitude, combined with exceptional stakeholder management experience, enable you to build strong relationships and navigate complex cross-functional settings. We expect that you can solve task both independently and as part of a team.

 

About the Department

Digital, Data & IT Product Supply (DD&IT PS) – Fill & Finish Expansions is a program organization built in a multi-dimensional matrix structure, designed to foster cross-organizational and cross-functional collaboration to shape our future.

Our goal is to design and build future-proof, global production facilities, with a focus on establishing strong foundational IT and automation that will enable these facilities to digitally evolve.

As a member of our department, you will work closely with colleagues responsible for processes and engineering, as well as various technology partners both internally and externally.
