DTU's innovation hub, DTU Skylab, is looking for a creative and versatile student assistant who can assist in developing and hosting events and handling various administrative tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Coordination 
  • Assisting in the development and planning of event concepts and event timelines
  • Setting up and breaking down event spaces, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available and functioning
  • Handling registrations and attendee lists
  • On-Site Support: Greeting and assisting attendees, troubleshooting any issues during the event, coordinating with the event team to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Other practical and administrative tasks.

You will be part of a team of 3 assistants who together handle graphic, communicative, administrative, and practical tasks in connection with events and assist our project managers with research and development tasks.

Who are you
We imagine that you: 

  • have at least one year (preferably two years) left of their studies
  • have experience with planning and hosting events
  • are proficient in both written and spoken English, with a flair for creative expression 
  • can commit to an average of 15 hours per week.

Ideally, you are creative, proactive, and take pride in delivering high-quality results. You’ll be handling a variety of tasks, often with short deadlines, so being able to stay organized, work efficiently, and meet deadlines will be very helpful. 

Who are we?
DTU Skylab is DTU’s innovation hub, a vibrant community supporting diverse activities such as curricular courses, company collaborations, and startup programs. Since its conception in 2013 DTU Skylab has been an engaging and inclusive learning space with offices, teaching, and event facilities, with multiple workshops and laboratories.

Our talented staff is our signature. We have a highly creative atmosphere with around 60 full-time employees in 3 sections. We have an informal culture, and we can laugh, party, and be very serious about our actions. We love our users and collaborators, and we love to tell all the great stories about the projects and activities running in DTU Skylab, spanning from airborne windmills, cell ag technologies, intimate health devices, AI laboratory robots, digital coaching services to facilitating student associations and international summits.

You will become a part of a culture and organization that is constantly developing, and you will have a lot of influence on this development.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State). 

Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 1 January 2025 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
