parttime chef / helping hand in kitchen

We are looking for a parttime chefs/helping hand to work with us during prep and service. 

Our kitchen is an open kitchen, business is really busy and we work fast and agile. Eg. changes in kitchen order can occur, and you will have to adapt rapidly and with a big smile.

If you are a trained chef its nice, but no need - just as long as you have a passion for making food, are willing to learn and understand our way of business and can work teamoriented. It is a must that you are solution oriented, robust and agile in nature.

Serving good, nice decent food is key - but also taking part in making sure the kitchen is clean and live up to the danish standars, is a part of your job. You work as a team, from the time you prep, during service when the heat is on and music is loud - and after, when kitchen comes back to normal, is cleaned and set up for the coming day.

We are a company with 3 restaurants in Århus, Denmark. And a team of more than 50 employees who are passionate and proud of our profession and the work we do.

Our business thrive, guests love us for our nice food & wine, cosiness -  and our charm, attention and hospitality. Its our super power!

We are a wonderful diverse team of nationalities and cultures, colleagues come from 12-13 different countries. We speak English on a daily basis, some of us a bit rusty but a sauce hollandaise - is a damn sauce hollandaise everywhere in the world.

We are down to earth in mindset and working style, the organisation is flat in structure – so there’s no managers to tell you what to do every 10 minutes, thus we expect you to work independently, focused on your tasks and responsibilities and with an eye for the whole team.

We expect from you

Tattoos, multi-coloured trousers, straight hair, no hair, A, B, C, D chest seize, flip beard, mustacho or too much beard. All this is fine, as long as YOU are open, present, have a warm smile and are willing and able to do your best, working in a team providing exceptional good service to our guests.

Please notice, our team are hardworking and present people, if you have an addiction problem with drugs, alcohol etc. - then you do not need to apply to any of the positions. Its one of our non-negotiables and a key company values. Acknowledging the importance in following the company rules and guidelines, eg. for best practice in ´cleaning & hygiene´ – is another key thing in our company.

We expect of you to be responsible and meet on time and not report sick every second day due to hangovers, you must be able to talk and work at the same time, must be able to remember to return after lunch, must not count on a pat on the shoulder and a gold medal just for showing up on time every day. Same goes for not; oversleeping every Saturday, has to go to court often, needs a babysitter every other day, did not missing the bus every other day, has a flat tires every Monday, cannot do without your mobile during the working day, think you have to drink 5 coca cola every day, need to see if your boyfriend has written a text every 10 minutes, is the kind of person who thinks you are born an expert and do not need training or advice after the first day.

Please note, getting a job in our company is subject to a valid Danish work permit and Danish bank account. So you must be able to get a cpr number (personal identification number ) and a work permit in Denmark.
