Opening Summer 2025 – the opportunity to join the pre-opening team of 1 Hotel Copenhagen and bring a transformative brand to Denmark.

1 Hotel Copenhagen is centrally located at the intersection of the city’s vibrant Latin Quarter and its historic heart; it will feature 282 rooms including 30 suites.  With a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm, the property will also feature locally sourced, seasonal cuisine as eclectic as the city itself at the signature restaurant and bar. Guests and locals alike can find tranquillity in the nature-inspired Bamford Wellness Spa, connect with the natural world in the property’s urban garden complete an on-site bee hotel, or embark on an adventure, exploring Copenhagen's rich tapestry of parks and museums on bike.

Our human resources team, (we prefer to simply call them “people”) play an integral role in every aspect of our hotels.  They are responsible for recruiting (and retaining) the best talent and then keeping them happy. And each one of our amazing People members keeps us humble and focused. We’re currently searching for a People Operations Manager, who will be the guru of People, processes and programs at 1 Hotel Copenhagen.

The People Operations Manager is the key to a high-performance culture that emphasizes our brand mission and point of view, as well as upholds ambitious standards for every team member, sets them up to attain challenging goals and evolves the workforce and SH culture through ongoing development and ever-evolving needs of the hotel.  

Key Responsibilities…

  • Overseeing recruitment for the launch of 1 Hotel Copenhagen.
  • Managing a wide variety of HR administrative tasks.
  • Supporting managers with legal issues, shift planning, absence management, and policy-related questions.
  • Leading the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Organizing and executing Pre-boarding, On-boarding, and Off-boarding initiatives.
  • Working proactively with People & Culture data to continuously improve HR analytics for accurate reporting and insights.

About you...

  • Passionate about people, workplace culture, and HR, with relevant experience and strong knowledge of Danish labor law and union agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both a Scandinavian language and English.
  • A systematic thinker who can seamlessly shift between detailed information and the broader perspective.
  • Organized with strong analytical skills. Proficient in MS Office, with experience in Workday, TimePlan, and Lessor being a plus.
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
