The Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, University of Copenhagen announces a position as postdoc within the research field of nutrition and health in low-income countries for 29 months, with a possibility for extension. The position is open from 1 February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The research project(s)
The position is affiliated to two research projects: 1) An EU funded project, “Healthy Diets for Africa” aiming at combating malnutrition in Africa through diversification of food systems and 2) a Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) funded project “Climate-resilient aquatic food systems for healthy lives of young women and girls in Bangladesh (AQUAFOOD)”.
The postdoc position
Our new colleague will study the effects of nutrition or specific diets on micronutrient status, body composition and health of children and adolescents from mainly Kenya and Bangladesh. Through collaboration with the international and multidisciplinary project teams, the work will cover study design and planning of studies in Africa and Bangladesh, and a strong focus on analysing data and writing scientific publications. In addition, the postdoc will participate in PhD supervision and teaching. Traveling to the research destinations is required.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
