The Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense invites applications for a postdoctoral position embedded in the laboratories of the Nucleic Acid Center as part of a Novo Nordisk Foundation Project Grant on peptide-oligonucleotide conjugate chemistry.
The research unit focuses on the de novo design of peptide-oligonucleotide conjugates and explores their potential biophysical, biochemical and biological applications.
The postdoctoral project is part of our current activities on peptide-oligonucleotide conjugate chemistry. Our group is specialized in the state-of-art peptide-oligonucleotide bioconjugation, automated solid-phase synthesis of chemically modified oligonucleotides and peptides, and the synthesis of modified nucleoside monomers. Our lab is actively engaged in diverse international collaborations with colleagues ranging from biophysics to molecular biology as part of a high-profile interdisciplinary research consortium.
We are seeking a highly motivated applicant to join our research team for a project of fusing modified peptides and oligonucleotides to advance the gene therapy in the context of the Nucleic Acid Center.
The ideal candidate has the following competencies and skills:
Additional valuable skills:
