Nordic Regional Coordination Centre (RCC) provides critical services and insights to support the national Transmission System Operators (TSOs) in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark — to ensure the efficient operation and use of the Nordic power system and high security of power supply at any time.
Based in Copenhagen, Nordic RCC is one of six RCCs in Europe, equally owned by the Nordic region's four electricity TSOs: Fingrid, Statnett, Svenska Kraftnät, and Energinet.
As European power systems integrate and evolve to meet climate goals, Nordic RCC provides regional coordination, integrated services, regional insights and recommendations to the Nordic TSOs and their control centres, to support cross-border operational security 24/7.

Job description:
Join the Grid Modelling and Alignment team to develop and improve the Nordic Common Grid Model (CGM) and the associated alignment data that forms the basis to ensure secure power market and security of supply. As a power system engineer, you will engage in business process development for the common grid model, power system analyses, continuous quality improvements as well as facilitating coordination with various stakeholders.
Joining the Grid Modelling and Alignment team will allow you to participate in a key area within Nordic RCC. The CGM exist for several time horizons, of which some are fully implemented, while others are under development. This means you will handle both business process development as well as maintaining and continuous improvement of the Common Grid Model.
Joining the Data and Analytics department you will be part of the Nordic RCC organization that focuses on providing insights to quality improvements and continuous performance monitoring.

Responsibilities:
As a Power System Engineer in Grid Modelling and Alignment, you will be a part of a dedicated team consisting of power system engineers that address a variety of topics within grid modelling, business process development and analytics. You will support Nordic RCC in maintaining and further enhancing the CGM.
In this role you will be looking into business process development and implementation, business requirements as well as continuous improvement of existing processes and improvement of the quality of the grid models.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will include:

You hold a MSc in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field with strong focus on power systems and electricity markets. Additionally, you also have strong competences working with data sets. Ideally, you have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the industry.
Additional competences:
We are looking for a person with logical problem and issue solving skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues from different fields of expertise, both from the Nordic RCC, the Nordic TSOs and other European RCCs and TSOs. Good understanding of data relations and systems for business processes running in operation is seen as beneficial.
