Job Description

Are you passionate about streamlining complex processes and shaping the future of renewable energy? Join us as a Process Excellence Specialist, where you’ll optimize and harmonize vital processes across our wind business unit. Collaborate with diverse teams, leverage cutting-edge digital platforms, and drive continuous improvement that supports our ambitious journey toward fossil freedom.

You will be part of the Process Excellence & IMS Governance department, which drives strategic initiatives to optimize, harmonize and standardize processes across our wind operations. By integrating digital solutions, lean methods, and continuous improvement tools, we aim to deliver a paperless, data-driven environment that supports efficient decision-making and compliance with international standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams—ranging from operations and QHSSE to engineering and finance—this department ensures our processes consistently align with best practices and enable high-performance outcomes. Through cross-functional collaboration and innovative thinking, we provide the backbone for a streamlined, forward-looking approach to managing our wind assets.


Qualifications

Your role
As a Process Excellence Specialist, you will drive the transformation of our business process landscape and management system by designing, developing, and optimizing value streams across BA Wind. Collaborating with process owners, local process excellence teams, and governance specialists, you will ensure that integrated management system (IMS) requirements are embedded in every step, and processes is designed to give its utmost output.

This role is central to harmonizing processes, minimizing duplication, and supporting our business strategic goals for performance excellence. You will focus on delivering high-value outcomes, whether by conducting gap analyses, leading improvement workshops, or enabling data-driven insights for better decision-making, or by redesigning the processes, eliminating waste and inefficiencies and replacing with automated workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Design & Development

  • Design and optimize process flows based on value stream mapping, industry best practices, and alignment with local process leaders. Utilising industry best practices and considering concepts such as value stream mapping and lean while addressing real business needs and priorities.


Collaboration & Coordination

  • Partner with IMS governance, Business unit /staff function process owners, and various business stakeholders (e.g., Finance, QHSSE, Engineering) to ensure a coherent, compliant, and efficient value stream.

 

IMS Compliance

  • Embed ISO standards (e.g., 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001) as well as Vattenfall group requirement into processes, acting as a guardian of our integrated management system and ensuring adherence to BA Wind’s Process Framework.

 

Performance improvement

  • Identify gaps and harmonize processes; define KPIs/PPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and utilize problem-solving methods (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) for continuous improvement.


Project & Change Management

  • Lead or support process standardization, harmonisation and optimization projects, facilitate process discussion workshops, Kaizen events, driving adoption of agile thinking and best practices sharing across BA Wind. Report project progress, bring ideas for process automations and use of AI when deemed helpful.

 

 

Your profile

You are a pragmatic yet collaborative professional who excels at balancing the need for high-quality, standardized processes with the flexibility required in a dynamic, international environment. You enjoy visualizing data, drawing insights to convey a clear message, and you thrive on stakeholder engagement—working cross-functionally and influencing diverse teams toward shared goals. With a creative mindset and a willingness to persevere through challenges, you take pride in aligning operational reality with strategic objectives. Above all, you are a self-starter who sees opportunity in complexity, remaining solution-oriented while championing continuous improvement.

Next to this, you bring:

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Operations Management, Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • + 5 years’ experience in business process design, improvement, and optimization, ideally within an integrated management system (IMS) context.
  • Experience working in cross functional team and project driven organization or complex high regulated asset projects

 

Technical & Methodological Expertise

  • Solid grasp of SIPOC, value creation journeys, and full process lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001) and their integration.
  • Proven experience in Lean/Kaizen, Six Sigma, or other recognized problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge of BPMN 2.0, APQC frameworks, and hands-on experience with business process management/mining tools (e.g., ARIS) is a plus.
  • Experience in renewable energy or project/asset lifecycles (Design, Build, O&M) is desired.

 

Soft Skills

  • Effective communicator, coach, and stakeholder management.
  • Self-driven, creative, and persistent in overcoming obstacles.
  • Solution and process oriented with go get mindset
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
