Product Creator, Transformational Prevention Unit

The position
As a Product Creator within the TPU, you will be part of an empowered interdisciplinary team of Product Creators who collaborate to conceptualize, shape, deliver and test solutions that go beyond medicines – starting towards the first minimum viable products (MVPs) and taking it further from there.

You will be part of an ambitious and highly skilled team of experts that work with external partners and cross-functional internal stakeholders to develop and rapidly test prototype products in the areas of risk and response assessment, communication of metabolic health, behavioural interventions, or biological interventions – all with the aim to predict and prevent obesity. You will drive the development of user-centric offerings that address unmet needs in a clearly defined target population and prepare go-to-market plans together with partners across the business.

This role is a 12-month maternity cover and you will report directly to the Senior Director of the Product Innovation Lab within the TPU, becoming an essential member of the TPU team. Your primary work location will be in Søborg, Denmark and the role will require some occasional travel.
 
Qualifications
We are looking for a team member with great interpersonal skills, coupled with drive and dedication. There are several capabilities we are looking to recruit into the team; therefore, we are looking for Product Creators with experience in external innovation as well as the following:

• Speciality expertise in at least one of the following areas. Human Biology, Drug R&D, Innovative Business Models, Product Development or Disease Prevention.
• An academic degree in life sciences and/or a business or economics education, and several years of experience in an industry setting (for example pharma, healthcare, start-up, or digital health companies). Ideally a master’s degree or PhD.
• Thorough understanding of the global healthcare market and its trends.
• Demonstrated ability to work with external partners.
• Experience in creating, developing, and commercializing healthcare products.

Additional experience in business development or new product planning is a plus.

About the Department
Imagine a future where people can be screened to determine if they are at risk of developing obesity and know exactly when – and how – to intervene to prevent it. Novo Nordisk aims to contribute to addressing the obesity pandemic rather than being a contributor to it. That is why we have established the TPU — making the first instance within Novo Nordisk of a prevention unit spanning both Commercial and R&D functions.
