Product Development Engineer

We are looking for a new colleague to join our client in the manufacturing industry. You will join the Product Development function within the Commercial Building Service (CBS) division. This division is responsible for all development activities and future innovations for two key product groups: MAGNA and MIXIT.

You will become part of an agile, cross-functional team of skilled and dedicated engineers and technicians. You must an experienced Engineer with mechatronic skills to support the expansion of the development function and meet all business requirements,

Location: Mid Jutland, hybrid.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

• Experienced Engineer with strong mechatronic skills to support the expansion of the development function and meet all business requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar field
• 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in a multi-domain environment
• Experience working with drawings, e.g., CATIA
• Extensive material knowledge within composites, metals, and preferably electronics
• Additive manufacturing capabilities are a plus
• Strong understanding of process practices from drawing to production
• Experience working with various stakeholders in a large global organization as well as external suppliers
• Strong proficiency in English - written and oral
• Valid EU work permit making you able to start right away

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Design the mechanical components of the control box, including composite parts, cooling profiles, user interfaces, and more
• Developing a robust mechanical design with a focus on tolerance chains
• Ensuring optimal construction in cooperation with HW and SW designers
• Documenting the solutions
• Achieving effective producibility design using tools like design for assembly and manufacturing
• Planning and coordinating schedules both internally across teams and externally with suppliers for timely component deliveries
