The Role & Department
For our Engineering Department in our Programs Business Unit, we a looking for a product integration engineer with RF experience. As a product integration engineer at GomSpace, you will play a crucial role in delivering nanosatellites and microsatellites to customers. You will be our product expert. You will be bridging between product developers in Products Business Unit and developers in our Programs Business Unit. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful integration of components into our satellite platforms.
Our Programs Business Unit focuses on delivering nanosatellites and microsatellites to academic institutions, commercial customers, governmental agencies, and space industry partners. As product integration engineer in Programs Business Unit you will be involved in satellite projects from sale process over design, development, simulation, analysis, and prototyping to supporting the assembly, integration and testing in our clean room facilities.
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Be our product expert
- Perform configuration, and testing of products in relation to assembly, integration, and verification, AIV, of satellites.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test programs in Python.
- Configuration, integration and testing of new products and 3rd party hardware.
- Be the problem solver. Perform technical error debugging and analysis.
- Defining electrical interface boards on schematic level. Outsourcing PCB layout. Documentation, prototyping, testing, validation, introduction to our manufacturing line.
- Design and draw harnesses for satellites.
- Act as technical advisor and support on products topics for internal project teams.
- Contribute to and support sales proposals with technical aspects on performance, functionality, integration, and verification.
Requirements
The right candidate has the following experience and knowhow.
- Relevant technical education, e.g. as electrics engineer. You have a technical background and experience with electronical circuits
- Two or more years of experience working as an electronics engineering
- Experience with software defined radios
- Experience with digital circuits and microcontrollers
- Experience with hardware Communication interfaces and Buses e.g. RS485, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB
- Experience with Power Management
- Knowledge of EMC design and experience with EMC testing
- Experience on C and Python development – in Linux environment
- Experience in schematic design, e.g. with Altium
- Knowledge in PCB design
- Experience in harness design
- Experience from a manufacturing of electronical products
- Knowledge of space products and space standards, e.g. ECSS
- English on a professional level
- Willing to travel
