Product Manager for Tanker Operation Software

The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Product Manager to design and manage our new software application for our commercial team and contribute to the ongoing development of our operational platform NEXUS. This role requires someone with a shipping background, ready to play a key part in our software development efforts.

You will join our newly established application development team, which is set to expand significantly. This team is tasked with developing business-relevant applications to drive our organizational needs. In this position, you will liaise with key stakeholders to translate their input into requirements and specifications for our software developers. Additionally, you will develop product strategies and ensure alignment with other teams.

This role is based in our Copenhagen office, with software developers located in India.

Responsibilities

Your core tasks will include:

• Interacting with users across the entire TORM organization to implement their requirements into the platform.
• Designing the application to ensure a pleasant and productive customer journey.
• Translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Keeping relevant stakeholders informed about the project plan and status.
• Cooperating closely with our software developers in the Mumbai office.
• Developing advanced data analysis methods.
• Performing deep dive data analysis on an ad-hoc basis.

Who We Are Looking For

You may be a business analyst or data scientist with a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. You have minimum 5 years of experience in chartering and operational teams within a shipping organization and good knowledge of ship operation – commercially and technically.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Knowledge of application development processes.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Good knowledge about data analytics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with commercial and technical staff.
• Great understanding of working with different cultures.
• You have a constant drive to improve yourself and understand that great results are the results of hard work and team play.
• Detail-orientation with the ability to understand how each aspect interacts with the big picture.
