As our Production Performance Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in driving product quality, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring we maintain the highest standards of food safety. Reporting to the Head of Production, you’ll be a key member of a small team taking lead on enhancing production efficiency, supporting our goal to achieve and maintain FSSC 22000 certification and ensure a solid capacity optimization plan is carried out. This is a dynamic and hands-on role, in a smaller food tech production setup which you will be a key driver in scaling over the coming years.
Optimize production efficiency: Build and execute plans to optimize and ensure capacity near- and long-term incl. Removing bottlenecks, reducing waste, and upgrading equipment.
Ensure quality and product performance is ‘on spec’ and that e.g. production recipes, Bill of Materials and batch performance is in constant focus.
Enable FSSC 22000 certification efforts: together with quality and operations team obtain and maintain certificate and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Partake in cross-functional product development work and ensure that new products are scaled and qualified adequately.
Function as a production subject matter expert providing training, troubleshoot issues, and foster continuous improvement.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
Develop production capacity optimization plan for 2025+
Improve and drive up on-spec production rates.
Contribute to a standardized and further scaling production setup
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in food technology, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or process engineering.
Skills and Competencies:
A hands-on “doer” with an academic proactive approach to solving challenges.
Strong collaboration skills with a holistic, cross-functional mindset.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver practical solutions.
Solid understanding of food production processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
Familiarity with FSSC 22000 or similar food safety standards is a plus.
