The Position
As Production Specialist in External Manufacturing Technology & Optimization (EMTO), you will work closely with CMOs who partner with Novo Nordisk to enable further production of drug substance.
We are involved in the assessment of new CMOs and we bring them to life during the project phase in close collaboration with the process responsible, the project manager and QA. You will be the bridge between what the CMOs can do and what Novo Nordisk want to achieve, with a special focus on facility, equipment, validation and Quality Management System (QMS).
After implementation, you will typically not hold day to day oversight with the CMO, but rather be called upon when there is a need for technical knowledge. You will quickly become a visible beacon of knowledge across and beyond a truly global organisation.

International collaboration is an integrated part of your job, you can expect to be travelling around 20 days per year.

You have a curious mindset and enjoy working independently. Last but not least, you know how to listen and negotiate, but are also able to take a stand when needed.
For one of the positions, it will be an advantage if you also have an thorough cleaning validation knowledge.
About the Department
External Manufacturing technology & optimization (EMTO) is a part of Drug substance, Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM). We are responsible for getting the CMO’s production up and running with the right quality to ensure delivery of products from the CMOs to our respective customers. Our CMOs are located in Europe, North America and in East Asia.
GCM Drug substance is responsible for all Novo Nordisk contracts and license manufacturing of API’s, intermediates and excipients to global markets.
The position is in EMTO Chemistry, Small molecules and Sidechains reagents, a team of approx. 10 highly experienced specialists with a well-documented history in pharmaceutical sciences. Our office is located in Høje Taastrup.
