Program Manager, Supply Chain Portfolio Complexity & LCM

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team in the Supply Chain Transformation unit and lead the strategic deployment of important initiatives to manage the complexity of our product portfolio throughout all lifecycle stages from early development to phase out. This role is vital in ensuring that introduction of new products and our product portfolio in general is optimised to efficiently utilize our production network and ensure that we get to market and scale fast. You will lead strategic projects working closely with specialists and stakeholders within Supply Chain and the broader value chain.

Your main responsibilities will be focused on:

• Leading the important ‘Scalability Principles’ initiative for New Product Introductions in close partnership with Supply Chain Network Strategy and DPP. The objective is to introduce a shared framework to safeguard scalability from early development to launch by defining principles, guardrails and standard catalogues to guide product design decisions. The first phase hereof has already started in establishing a platform scalability assessment framework
• In leading the initiative your responsibilities will include
• Translating project statements into actionable plans with clear deliverables and timelines
• Effectively managing diverse teams and coordinate efforts among various stakeholders
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the value chain, including senior management, to enhance buy-in and strategy alignment
• Managing change processes and address training needs for effective adoption of outcomes
• You will moreover lead other strategic initiatives in the Transformation roadmap, including defining how we drive lifecycle management for our full product portfolio going forward by introducing recurring portfolio reviews and complexity guardrails

Lastly, you will be working closely together with the broader team in supporting the Portfolio Complexity workstream in the SC Transformation unit and continuing our ongoing effort to simplify our current product portfolio to better serve patients and to ensure that simplifications are executed in a proper manner   

Candidate profile

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in relevant roles within project management, supply chain or the pharma value chain in general
• A proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to explain complex issues clearly to senior management
• Experience with complex stakeholder landscapes across the full value chain and leading without formal authority
• Proficient in prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality results

This role requires a high degree of independent work alongside collaboration with key stakeholders across Product Supply, Commercial, and R&D areas. Occasional travel may be required.

About the department

You will be part of our global Supply Chain organization, a large and diverse team of approximately 1,000 employees dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of our patients. Here you will be part of the Supply Chain Transformation unit, which was established in end 2023 to drive several strategic workstreams across the full end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk. The area is growing to become a strong function of supply chain experts and leaders to drive changes across NN and ensure strong and impactful implementation in the line of business functions.
