NORDUnet is expanding the team within International Relations and is looking for a new dedicated Project Manager. You will work from the office in either Aalborg or Kastrup.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager in Strategic Engagement Division, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating projects, supporting colleagues and stakeholders to ensure efficacious and successful project completions.
Your primary duties include:
Coordinating and driving collaboration projects, including Nordic NREN collaborations, global initiatives, and EU Commission projects. Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and budgets. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet established quality standards. Supporting colleagues with project oversight, progress tracking, and follow-ups. Acting as a resource and advisor for the team and organization. Identifying potential project risks and creating plans to mitigate their impact. Resolving issues swiftly and efficiently to minimize project disruptions. Preparing regular status updates and progress reports for stakeholders. Monitoring project quality and ensuring outputs meet necessary standards. Implementing quality assurance processes and conducting regular evaluations.
Experience and Qualifications
We are looking for a Project Manager who brings the following to our team:
An academic education, preferably in fields such as computer science, economics, or biochemistry (though not a requirement). Proficient in English (written and spoken) and one of the Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish) at a native level. Solid relevant experience in project management, stakeholder management, and EU projects. Experience from the IT, network, or telecommunications sector, preferably within research or educational environments. Technical knowledge of IT and IT processes, understanding of infrastructure requirements for researchers, and the role of IT in the research lifecycle. Ability to produce written documents related to project management and EU projects. Strong collaboration skills, clear communication, and listening abilities. Diplomatic, goal-oriented, and proficient in initiating and coordinating strategic directions. High degree of self-leadership, proactive, and persistent with strong trust-building and reliability.
