Job Position: Punch Press Operator

Job description and work tasks:

• You will be part of a team of skilled colleagues who produce coverings for constructions at home and abroad, works with a punching machine to cut, shape or perforate metal, plastic or other materials. The work often involves the use of various types of tools designed to punch out precise shapes or patterns from raw materials.
• Participating in the production of items on various machines, both manual and automated. However, punching items will be the primary task.
• Operation of Punching Machines: The operator controls the machine and adjusts it as needed to ensure accurate cuts or shapes.
• Equipment setup and maintenance: This includes fitting tools and molds, ensuring proper calibration of the machine, and performing maintenance to ensure the machine is operating optimally.
• Quality control: The operator ensures that the finished product meets specifications and quality standards by checking dimensions and surface quality.
• Safety and process monitoring: The operator must follow safety procedures and continuously monitor the machine to detect any problems or malfunctions.
• Work with very thin steel - thickness is 0,5 mm - 1 mm.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience with punching machines (Amada, Salvagnini, Trumpf, Primapower or similar).
• Has understanding of drawings.
• Has experience with metal production (advantage, not a requirement).
• Is physically strong and has good endurance, as it may involve standing work and handling heavy materials over a long period of time.
• Has flair for computers.
• Can work both independantly and as a part of a team
• Has technical skills and understanding. Must be able to operate and adjust advanced machines and understand the structure and function of the machines.
• Has precision and attention to detail: The work often involves designing precise parts where accuracy is essential. Even small mistakes can lead to rejected products or damage to the machine.
• Can check and ensure that the finished product complies with the given specifications and quality requirements is important to avoid production errors.

Requirements:

• Forklift certificate and experience operating it.
