1 Hotel Copenhagen is centrally located at the intersection of the city’s vibrant Latin Quarter and its historic heart; it will feature 282 rooms including 30 suites. With a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm, the property will also feature locally sourced, seasonal cuisine as eclectic as the city itself at the signature restaurant and bar. Guests and locals alike can find tranquility in the nature-inspired Bamford Wellness Spa, connected with the natural world in the property’s urban garden complete an on-site bee hotel, or embark on an adventure, exploring Copenhagen's rich tapestry of parks and museums on bike.
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all purchasing functions of the hotel, ensuring that all purchasing complies with the 1 Hotels sustainable brand ethos and brand standards. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to obtaining the highest quality products at the best possible prices while minimizing the hotel’s environmental footprint. You will oversee daily purchasing operations, act as a liaison between suppliers and hotel departments, and ensure the smooth delivery of products and services. A strong focus on sustainability, local sourcing, and building collaborative relationships will be key to success in this role.
About you...
• Proven experience in purchasing and receiving management, ideally within a hotel or similar high-volume operation.
• Knowledge of sustainable purchasing practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and with suppliers.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and ensure the best prices for quality products.
• Proven track record in inventory management, forecasting needs, and maintaining optimal stock levels to minimize waste.
• Understanding of eco-friendly operations, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and sustainable sourcing.
• Familiarity with procurement software and basic financial principles.
• Knowledge of Danish working conditions and collective agreements is a significant advantage.
• Flexibility to meet the demands of a dynamic and evolving work environment.
