The position
As a QC Director, you will join PS (Product Supply) API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) Manufacturing 1 (M1), leading innovative solutions in quality control and environmental monitoring. You will be a part of the senior management group of M1, offering you the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and drive impactful innovations.
Your key tasks will be:
You will join a forward-thinking team at the forefront of digitalization and automation, driving impactful innovations and ensuring excellence in analytical performance.
In collaboration with the other QC directors in API and your QC 4.0 team, you will drive the innovative solutions that will be ready to move into a new laboratory in 2027. At the same time, you will be responsible for three QC operational teams that are constantly working on improvements, ensuring that our customers receive analytical results in the right time and quality. The department also includes a team responsible for ensuring that the classified areas meet regulatory requirements while providing operators with the best conditions to perform their work in these spaces.
The role as a department head for this division gives you the opportunity to influence multiple areas in API while quickly building a large network.

About the department
As a QC Director, you will head up a department of 68 highly skilled employees with different backgrounds at the world’s largest production site in Novo Nordisk. The department is divided into 3 teams: API M1 QC Purification, API M1 QC Equipment & IT, API M1 QC Environmental Monitoring & API M1 QC Fermentation/Recovery & Utility.
API M1 is the world’s largest insulin-producing factory and is part of Novo Nordisk’s production site in Kalundborg. We employ more than 700 people of different nationalities and educational backgrounds and run 24-hour production to produce Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for patients around the world.
