The position
As a Quality & Compliance Partner you will take part in overseeing Quality & Compliance initiatives related to Data Governance, ensuring adherence to Data Privacy regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize Data Practices. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drive initiatives that support the process for identification, assessment, and mitigation of any personal data protection risks in relation to clinical & research data throughout the domain of R&D.
Support the organization in the handling of clinical & research data activities within the scope of the R&D Data Governance Office in relation to mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Monitor, assess and advise on applicable external requirements (GxP, General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR], etc.), and contribute to the development and improvement of Standard Operation Procedures, guidance documents and training materials.
Take responsibility for document management and ad-hoc tasks in the domains Compliance, Data Privacy and Quality.
Take part in maturing and growing the R&D Data Governance Office operations across domains.
Furthermore, you will interact with senior management across the entirety of the R&D organization within Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications:
To succeed in the role of a, we seek an individual with the following qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, science, commercial law or similar)
A minimum of 3+ years relevant experience from a pharmaceutical / life science company or similar, working with compliance and process improvement initiatives supporting digitalization of processes
Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority combined with excellent communication skills (fluent in English, both verbally and written)
Tech savvy and proficient in MS Office Tools; a good understanding of AI-related tools (e.g., ChatGPT, M365 Copilot) would be an advantage
Experience with compliance in a pharmaceutical context e.g., GxP and GDPR, as well as experience within M&A is considered as a significant advantage
Personally, you are adept at working independently and adapting quickly to new situations in a continuously changing environment. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive and results-oriented mindset. Your robust collaborative skills allow you to effectively participate within teams and across different departments, ultimately improving the overall work environment. Above all, you are a cooperative team player with a proactive, global mindset.
About the department
The role as Quality & Compliance Partner is anchored within the R&D Data Governance Office (DGO), which is one of four departments within R&D Quality Operations in Development. The purpose of the DGO is to ensure continuous quality and compliance with Novo Nordisk’s retention and deletion obligations. We collaborate closely with local subject matter experts, leveraging our expertise in regulatory requirements, technology, and innovation to optimize our operational efficiency.
