Quality Engineer

Vestas Technology & Operations > Blades Manufacturing > Quality NakskovThe Quality Department at our Vestas Blade manufacturing factory is a vital part of our operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Our team is responsible for both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), two critical aspects of our production process. Quality Assurance (QA) focuses on preventing defects in the products. We achieve this by developing and implementing procedures, policies, instructions, and standards that guide our production process. This consistent approach ensures that quality is built into the product from the very beginning. Quality Control (QC), on the other hand, involves inspecting the finished products to ensure they meet all specifications. We use a variety of testing methods and tools to check the quality of our blade components.  

Responsibilities

• Reporting quality performance used for initiating improvement activities
• Facilitate problem solving methodology (RCA)
• Involvement in the ISO 9001 certification processes
• Involvement in the internal / external audits and support improvement activities
• Handling Non-Conforming materials and products with ownership of medium / high level NCs through corrective and preventative measures
• Monitoring performance in designated production area and working with Production Support Team to solve and implement improvement plans
• Approve trials and prepare the appropriate technical reports

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and some years of experience in the field of quality engineering in a production plant 
• Strong communication skills, with fluent English (written and oral)
• Understanding of quality processes and reporting
• Team player and understands how to work in line and matrix-organizations

Competencies

• Able to use Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
• Attention to detail is essential
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Able to maintain focus and professional in a time-sensitive situation
