YOUR MISSION

The energy markets does not sleep and helping us navigate in it will be your greatest mission!

In such an environment, data pours into the organization throughout all 24 hours of the day from every conceivable direction. We use a lot of different timeseries data from market data, weather forecasts and actual data, live data from the European Power System and many other sources. Those streams of data contain a wealth of potentially valuable insight we use to balance our portfolio, which you will help us utilize even further when we trade in the market.

In this role, your mission will be:

• Data Handling: Manage and quality check data, ensuring reliability and availability for our 24/7 trading setup
• Market Analysis: Perform market analysis to provide actionable insights for decision-making
• Process Optimization: Streamline and enhance our day-to-day data handling processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Algo-Trading Setup: Further integration of our algo-trading setup
• Strategy Implementation: Implement trading strategies and signals for both algorithmic and discretionary trading
• Provide front-end solutions to make analysis and data easily accessible
   

YOUR PROFILE

We seek a motivated, proactive, and resilient team player with a strong interest in data and coding, and hopefully an interest in financial markets and energy markets. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where the route from idea to actual ‘product’ is short.

Technical Qualifications:

• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Experience in statistics and/or machine learning
• Experience in handling and structuring large amount of data

• Creative, meticulous, and technically proficient with strong problem-solving skills
• Team player with a proactive, result-oriented approach
• Self-starter who adapts quickly to new challenges
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams and maintain high-performance standards
• Able to function in a small team with an informal atmosphere

YOUR NEW TEAM

You will become part of a team that is responsible for handling client-based activities and optimizing our portfolios of assets such as wind, solar, and consumption throughout the Nordic region and Germany. The focus of the team is on the day-to-day power market (DayAhead and Intraday) trading both on a discretionary and algorithmic basis. You will support the team with relevant analyses, aiding decision-making processes in a rapidly changing environment.
