Lind Capital is a highly specialized company, trading on the financial markets with a focus on market know-how, cutting-edge technology, data driven decisions, and automation. We are a proprietary trading company with zero external investors allowing our 20+ employees in our cool offices in Aarhus to focus on the best possible trades using quantitative models.

Quantitative Trader in Lind Capital

As a Quantitative Trader you will become part of our trading team with seven colleagues that all have a deep understanding of the equity market and the trading strategies we apply. You're interested in market dynamics and enjoy seeing your analysis translate into trading results. You value efficient decision-making over meetings, and practical solutions over presentations.

The job

You will learn how to trade from our experienced traders to ensure that your business and trading understanding is at the highest level possible. In a typical week, you will trade 15-25 hours and spend the rest of your time analyzing how to improve our trading strategies and models. You will be team-working both within the trading team and in cross-functional squads with our data and technology teams. 

More specifically, you will be tasked to:

• Develop, test, and evaluate trading strategies including entry/exit points, hedging, sizing, and portfolio evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Software- and ML Engineers in cross-functional squads.
• Execute trading strategies within Europe and US stock market opening hours.
• Evaluate and test new trading ideas.
• Continuously grow and develop your skills on the job and via relevant courses/training.

You are a team player and have an open-minded attitude. You can communicate ideas and technical topics honestly and clearly – also to non-experts. You are eager to understand and find solutions, allowing you to quickly adapt to changing situations and come up with new ideas.

We expect that you have most of the following qualifications:

• A passion for equity markets and quantitative equity market models. 
• Problem-solving abilities with clear communication skills
• Machine learning experience with large amounts of data.
• Flair for time series analysis and econometrics.
• Ability to write clean and efficient Python code.
• Experience with cross-functional teamwork.
• A relevant university level education.

It is a plus, but not a pre-requisite that you have experience and/or familiarity with the stock market, trading, other programming languages, SQL, and GIT.

We generally dislike meetings, PowerPoints, politics, and committees, but prefer to look at the code or the chart together over the screen for a few minutes and make the decisions there and then.

The practical stuff

This position is based in Aarhus, Denmark. We operate in English and welcome international candidates.

Work flexibility at Lind Capital is a two-way street. This means that when someone is sick, when the market is crashing, or during vacation periods of others, we will expect you to work additional hours. However, when you have a sick child, a dentist appointment, an important skiing trip, or whatever is important to you outside of work, then we will do what we can to make that possible for you.
