We are looking for a Regional Head of Claims, based in Copenhagen or Stockholm.

Based in Copenhagen or Stockholm and reporting to the Regional Managing Director, you will develop and execute the Claims regional strategy and proactively support the development of the global claims strategy. You will also lead and manage the regional Claims team. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of the global and regional strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure organizational structures, processes, and resources are optimized to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers.

  • Oversee the management of cost center budgets and maintain efficient, effective, and adequate reserving levels in line with standards.

  • Drive excellence in claims handling, supervising large losses, supporting negotiations, and ensuring a high-quality service experience.

  • Foster collaboration across functions such as Underwriting, Risk Control, Distribution, and Operations to achieve shared objectives.

  • Promote continuous improvement through effective vendor management, development of Claims KPIs, and positive representation of Allianz Commercial within the Allianz Group and market.

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

  • You have a deep understanding of regional and local LoB insurance markets, competitor landscapes, and regulatory frameworks.

  • You bring significant experience in claims management, leading international teams, and navigating complex matrix environments.

  • You possess strong knowledge of products, policy wordings, claims handling processes, reserving principles, and reinsurance practices.

  • You are proficient in legal processes, litigation management, mediation, and negotiation techniques.

  • You excel in building strong broker relationships, analyzing complex data, and communicating effectively.
