Brief Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled research assistant to join our excellent team to work on animal models and molecular and cell biology. The starting date is as soon as possible.

At Hervolution Therapeutics, our mission is to cure cancer and aging. We develop active immune therapies capable of targeting virus-associated cancers & and age-related diseases. Our proprietary combination of novel technologies is designed to induce potent and diverse immune responses to unique antigens, thus providing broad and long lasting efficacy.

Hervolution Therapeutics was founded in 2019 and currently has 10 employees. Hervolution Therapeutics has built a very skilled and diverse team (5 different nationalities so far) that are working out of our office and laboratory space located at Symbion Fuglebakken in Frederiksberg.

The Job

As our new lab technician, you will be working closely with our team of scientists and Ph.D. students as well as independently. Your main work will be to perform cell and molecular biology experiments. You will also be part of projects where we study immune responses in animals and investigate if the induced responses are protective against various cancers or degenerative diseases. You will be part of cell line development and characterization, and analytical assays for immunogenicity. You will further be given specific responsibilities related to lab maintenance.

Qualifications:

We imagine that you have a B.Sc or M.Sc. in biological sciences 

Your profile

Required education/skills:

• A master in biological sciences or other equivalent documented experience working within the experimental laboratory work
• Experience in molecular biology (cloning, PCR etc.)
• Experience in cell work (cell handling, cell line generation)
• Excellent skills in documentation of laboratory work
• FELASA B, function AD or more and hands-on experience with animal work
• Good written and oral communication skills in English

• Appreciate switching between different tasks/projects
• Great collaborative skills and service minded
• Well organized and with an eye for details

You may have:

• Experience in Flow Cytometry
• Experience in immune assays (ELISA)
• Experience in gene expression assays (QPCR, Western blotting etc.)
• Cell staining techniques
• Handling of human samples (PBMCs)
