The University of Copenhagen seeks to appoint a research assistant to the Global Health Section at the Department of Public Health. The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 3 years with starting date 1 June 2025 or after agreement.
Project description
The research assistant will play a central role in a large international capacity development project - Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) - where the Global Health Section collaborates with Centre for Online and Blended Learning (COBL) and a number of educational and research institutions in Denmark, India and Kenya.

Our research and education
The Global Health Section has a broad research portfolio with a strong focus on healthy equity concern across low-, middle- and high-income countries. Our current research areas include health workforce and systems, infectious and neglected tropical diseases, global mental health, environmental and planetary health, climate change, disasters and resilience, as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights. The Section has a strong focus on research-based education and outreach and is active in several capacity strengthening projects, including the PEP project. The Section is a highly transdisciplinary workplace, where we place great attention on collegiality, teamwork, diversity and mutual support in everyday activities.

Place of employment
The place of employment is at the Global Health Section, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.
Terms of employment
The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.
The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 3 years. The starting date is 1 June 2025 or after agreement.
Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisation. Currently, the monthly salary starts at 33,100 DKK/approx. 4,400 EUR (April 2025 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated. The employer will pay an additional 17.1 % to your pension fund.
The position is covered by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2020.
