We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic project coordinator to join us on
April 1st, 2025. You will be working in the frame of the project FluZooMark, which is a large research centre on zoonotic aspects of swine influenza viruses funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF).

ivh.ku.dk Our research The research group carries out research and teaching in the areas of enzootic and zoonotic viral infections in animals. Our research focus on zoonotic aspects of swine influenza viruses, but we are also involved in research on other viral infections in pigs and other production animals. In addition, we are part of the veterinary contingency program on avian influenza virus. The group consist of one professor, four assistant professors, five post docs, three PhD. students, two laboratory technicians and a bunch of master and BA students. We are always very busy, but have a good, international working environment with lots of humour, cake club and flexible work assignments.
Your job You will be involved in research activities within the frame of the FluZooMark project (fluzoomark.dk). The research consists of establishment of
in vitro methods for the characterisation of influenza A viruses from swine and humans in respect to e.g. binding affinity of different viruses to the epithelium from different species. You will be responsible for the administrative coordination of the project, including reporting to the NNF, elaboration of meeting minutes, arrangements of project meetings, and participate in the financial reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for the administration of the research group, including organisation of meetings, help with project applications, elaboration of agendas and minutes from interna meetings and administration of our SoMe platforms and the project webpage. You will also be involved in the organisation of scientific meetings, journal clubs and research schools; elaboration of scientific reports to the funding body, guidance of PhD and pre-graduate student and small administrative tasks including maintenances of the project web site.
Profile We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with the following competencies and experience:

- You have an active interest in science communication and project management
- You have proficient communication skills and ability to work in teams
- You have excellent English skills - written and spoken
Desirable experience and skills:
- You are skilled in the use of standard computer programs and able to manage Web pages
Place of employment The place of employment is at the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in dynamic and international research environment. Our research facilities include modern laboratories and animal facilities.
Terms of employment The employment as project coordinator is fixed-term position for 16 months. Starting date is April 1st, 2025.
Employment will be in accordance with The Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning Academics in the state sector concluded between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and Akademikerne (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant agreements.
Employment will be as a Special Consultant. Negotiation for a salary supplement is possible. The working time are 37 hours per week on average.
