Research Scientist for a 2-year project

The position
The position is a 2-year project-based role, offering a balanced mix of:

• Wet-lab development
• Using your scientific background for development of assays
• Interpretation/reporting of results
• Routine work in the laboratory
• Project meetings
• Collaboration with external partners 

Important for the position is timely development and validation of assays like LAL tests (KCA, KTA, PTS system). Other microbiology methods may also be in scope since the team are expanding into a new area.
You can look forward to using your skills and talent not only in our department, but across Drug Development which covers analysis, drug product development and stability testing within the entire Research & Early Development (R&ED) clinical portfolio and of AMSAT ASAT Microbial Competence Centre.

This position can be based in various locations within the Copenhagen area.

Qualifications
You hold a Master of Science within microbiology, pharmacy, biotech, process technology, nanoscience or relevant practical experience from the pharmaceutical, hospital or biotech industry. 

You are our ideal candidate if you:

• are passionate about practical work in the laboratory
• understand biophysical structure of molecules and have knowledge about how complex molecules interact with different surfaces and molecules. 
• have competences in areas of aseptic production
• have experience in cGMP lab (both GMP/GSP)
• have an interest in data processing
• thrive on both routine tasks and complex problem-solving.
• find sharing of knowledge freely within the project team inspiring.

Close collaboration with our experienced chemists and lab technicians is also an important part of most days. In addition, it is critical to be able to promote collaboration with other parts of the organisation, as the position requires close interaction with our many different stakeholders. You will also participate in cross site groups with focus on Pyrogens/Endotoxin/Sterility.

About the Department
In CMC Bioanalysis at the Novo Nordisk site in Måløv, we develop assays for analysis cell banks, in process samples, drug substance and drug product samples for the entire Novo Nordisk project portfolio in clinical trials all over the world. 
We are around 65 people organized in three teams, and you will join a team of 22 highly skilled and dedicated scientists and laboratory technicians who work closely together on projects to deliver on time at the required quality.
