Your future team

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) for Nordic consists of a committed and dynamic team that work closely together. Our purpose is to optimize our environment and ensure safety and Health at our factories. We are dedicated, experienced within our field and are sharing knowledge easily.

What you will be doing

You are Point of Contact and responsible for audits like external inspections and visits by safety, health or fire inspectors and authorities. As the Safety, health and Environment Manager, your most important stakeholders are our Factory managers at the four local site in Denmark and Norway. But you will you also be working closely with Environment Committee (WEC) and the local Environmental managers as well as the safety and health managers in each Nordic country. Collaboration with different Group functions such as Group SHE, Group Development, Group Technology is key in this function and something that you enjoy doing.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and relevant Rockwool Mandatory Minimum Requirements MMR’s
  • Manage environmental non-compliances and non-conformances
  • Liaison with official authorities.
  • Represent the Nordic countries in relevant environmental networks
  • Inform responsible managers about existing safety and health or fire safety hazards to eliminate them.
  • Overall responsibility for ensure environmental permits including new projects
  • Manage employees and managers in assessing risks and advice on how to improve safety and health in our working environment.
  • Always promote Safety and Health awareness, through extensive communication and organization of our yearly event ‘Safety Days’.
  • Define relevant annual action plans to meet agreed SHE targets
  • Head Safety and Health Environment initiatives.
  • Overall responsibility for ISO certifications after ISO 14001 and 45001
  • Planning and conduction internal and external audits.
  • Ensure the needed competencies and develop the Nordic SHE team
  • What you bring

    You already have some years of experience as a Safety and Health Manager from a larger organization or a Nordic set up with an established SHE department and are truly dedicated to Safety and Health:

    Additionally, we see these below listed competences as preferences:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree within Safety Management or engineering or similar.
  • Custom to working with multi-cultural environment is and advantages.
  • Vast experience with training and conducting audits.
  • Fluent in English communication both in writing and verbally and Master one of the Nordic language
  • Excellent in communication and stakeholder management.
  • Structured and pragmatic approach to resolving challenges and executing project management.
  • A talented collaborator and ability to build trust and necessary authority
  • Ability to impact and influence your stakeholders while motivate colleagues to seek safety readiness and coach others act towards safety.
  • Ability to train colleagues and present information to any audience.
  • Attentive planner, looking for continuous improvement.
