We have replaced 80% of our systems, software, and infrastructure with SAP to create a stable, secure, and future-proof technological platform. To continue developing our SAP systems, we need a skilled SAP developer with experience in creating robust solutions in SAP full stack, ABAP, and Fiori.

 

Your new team
You will be part of an amazing team of 8 highly skilled SAP professionals, plus several external SAP consultants. You will report to our Team Lead for SAP Integration & Development. This is your opportunity to bring your proven SAP development skills to the table and help us build the strong foundation needed for Coop to continue its digital transformation.

 

About the role
As an SAP ABAP/Fiori developer, you will be part of our application operations and development organization. While ABAP/Fiori development is driven by both internal and external developers, we aim to build more internal competencies in this area to retain knowledge. This is where you come in.

 

We are looking for an SAP developer who can work independently and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. You will be part of our ABAP/Fiori team and actively participate in our many projects. Currently, there is a strong focus on Clean core and optimizing our development processes, to ensure quality in both new and extension of programs.

 

You will also handle everything from new implementations, adjustments, bug fixes, and debugging in collaboration with the business. You will coordinate some of these tasks among various stakeholders and ensure quality assurance of tasks performed by our external consultants.

 

Your primary tasks will include:

 

• Designing, developing, and testing backend/ABAP programs on a wide variety of SAP modules like S/4, CAR, PMR, BTP & other Fiori applications.
• Ensuring the quality of external developers' deliveries, adhering to SAP best practices and Coop's established standards and methods
• Assisting in operations with troubleshooting and fixing system disruptions
• Exposing OData services via CDS views and gateway service builder
• Developing and maintaining Fiori applications via SAP BAS
• Customizing standard SAP Fiori applications

 

Who are you?
You have experience as an SAP ABAP developer. You can work independently and set direction. You can develop strategies and proposals for approval within your specific areas of expertise. You are passionate about creating effective solutions and navigating a large organization that is constantly evolving with many internal stakeholders. You are good at communicating and collaborating with others in English.

 

You work persistently and detail-oriented with your responsibilities and do not compromise on quality, even when deadlines are tight. You will be part of a Scrum team with its own backlog.

 

We imagine that you:

 

• Have solid SAP ABAP experience, UI5 (Fiori), knowledge of clean core, preferably agile methods, Scrum
• Have knowledge or experience with BTP
• Take responsibility for your tasks and see them through (including coordination with respective colleagues)
• Have a high sense of quality and sharp attention to detail, challenging tasks and solution designs to ensure the best solution for all parties
• Are a good colleague who focuses on the team and helps and supports when needed
