Are you motivated by the opportunity to play an important role in the development of new major research initiatives within cardiometabolic and cardiovascular disease? The Novo Nordisk Foundation is looking for a Scientific Manager with experience in clinical cardiovascular disease. As part of the Foundation’s 2030 Strategy, we aim to support excellent research within the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease on a global scale, and the Scientific Manager will play an important role in co-developing future NNF large-scale projects in this area. There are currently three closely integrated teams within the NNF Medical Science area that support the process from basic discoveries translated into clinical care in cardiometabolic disease, Biomedicine, Clinical Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. In this position you will work in our Cardiovascular Medicine team, with multiple interaction points with both external stakeholders and other departments within the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
The Role
As Scientific Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and contributing to defining the scope of our plans within the clinical cardiometabolic field. You will map out national and international activities and strongholds for cardiometabolic research and development opportunities by
In addition to this, you will interact with other departments in their handling of applications and ongoing strategic projects within your relevant area(s) of expertise
Professional Qualifications
We are looking for a Scientific Manager with an MD and a PhD degree, preferably within the cardiovascular field. You have ideally worked clinically as a physician in a relevant specialty or alternatively have a background from the pharmaceutical industry within a cardiometabolic therapy area.
