Scientist to Exciting Area within Molecular Biology

Then you are on the right path to become our new colleague! We are looking for a (senior) scientist to help us drive, analyse and optimise our molecular biology laboratory to the next level. 

The position
The position is a balanced mix of wet-lab development, routine work, and interpretation/reporting of results. 

In this role you will:

• Develop and validate molecular biology assays related to techniques like qPCR, digital PCR, Sanger and Next Generation Sequencing. Other molecular biology methods may also be in scope since the team are developing into new areas.
• Participate in cross organizational project across Drug Development which covers analysis, cell banking, drug product development and stability testing within the entire R&ED clinical portfolio. 
• Have day to day cooperation with laboratory technicians, colleague scientists and project managers.

Qualifications

You hold a Master of Science preferably combined either with a PhD within molecular biology, pharmacy, biomedicine, cell biology, biochemistry or relevant practical experience from the pharmaceutical, hospital or biotech industry.
 
Ideally you also have:

• experience with molecular biology methods e.g. NGS, qPCR, digital PCR, Sanger sequencing, standard PCR and blotting techniques 
• an interest in how data processing/programming potentially combined with robotics or liquid handling can be used to optimise the way we work
• Project management skills
• a LEAN mind-set and strive for simplicity, it is important that you can contribute to problem solving and that you are able to “keep it simple”
• Fluency in Danish and English.

You are an independent person that drives initiatives to reach goals and meet necessary deadlines.  You can handle several tasks at the same time, and you never lose sight of the end goal. Lastly, you have good communication skills and a positive and curious mind-set.  
You are ready to learn a lot in a short time, and you know yourself well enough to communicate how you work best, so that we together can develop the best way to apply your skills and experience in a creative, fun and yet structured and productive way. 

About the Department 
In CMC Bioanalysis at the Novo Nordisk site in Måløv, we develop assays for analysis cell banks, in process samples, drug substance and drug product samples for the entire Novo Nordisk project portfolio in clinical trials all over the world. The department of 65 people is divided into 3 teams, of which your future team of 22 skilled employees sits with great expertise in molecular biology and pyrogens, where the tasks continuously change in line with new development projects, and Novo Nordisk postage. We are characterized by always delivering on time with high quality, but at the same time cherishing team spirit, a can-do attitude and our good mood.
