The Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Aarhus University, invites highly qualified applicants for a Senior Advisor position in relation to poultry production from September 1, 2025.
The positionWe are looking for an experienced senior advisor specialised in poultry production, interdisciplinary research and development, as well as project management and coordination within the area.
The position involves close collaboration with both researchers and industry to promote innovative solutions within sustainable production of eggs and chickens, as part of the green transition.
There will be particular focus on the fundraising, implementation and coordination of research projects within poultry production in interdisciplinary collaboration between disciplines, internally and at other research institutions as well as industry partners.
The senior advisor is expected to participate in knowledge transfer to the animal industry and to society, and to contribute to teaching at BSc, MSc, and PhD levels.
The successful applicant will be placed in the research unit
Monogastric Nutrition but will work across all relevant research units.
Qualifications:- PhD in animal science, veterinary medicine or related area.
- Documented experience with interdisciplinary research into poultry production and quantification of the production's climate footprint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in and leading interdisciplinary teams.
- A strong network in the industry community and at research institutions.
- Good communication skills for industry and society.

Formalities and salary range Technical Sciences refers to the
Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
