The position
As our Senior Automation Engineer, you will take the lead in our Fill & Finish production expansions, shaping the future of intralogistics and automation for warehouses supporting our new global AP (Aseptic Production) & FP (Finished Product) Modules. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving rapid implementation across our global sites, propelling us into the digital age. You will also be part of a group responsible for advancing the use of new innovative and existing technologies.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the different key stakeholders both in Novo Nordisk and suppliers to evaluate and enable IT, automation and digital solutions and architecture drawing a good balance between speed, simplicity and scalability
Collaborate with process, engineering and production responsible stakeholders to assess requirements and rightly influence the design.
Have an active and strong voice amongst a network of automation engineers, specialists and architects
Gain a broad network across stakeholders from Global IT, PS sites, process and engineering responsible in addition to multiple suppliers involved
It is expected that you’ll be participating in onsite workshops, build and deploy, validation exercise for the warehouse automation systems globally and in Denmark, with 10-15% travel in a calendar year.
Qualifications
To be a great asset to our team, you will have:
A MSc, BSc, or technician degree within automation, industrial engineering and/or IT systems and, at least, 5 years of experience in design, deployment & validation for warehouse automation systems including ASRS, AGV/AMR, Conveyor systems
Experience in one or more of the following technologies: Warehouse Management System, Warehouse Control System (WCS), Fleet Managers for AGV/AMR, IOT, PLCs and Industry 4.0. Project management skills is not a need but will be an advantage
Implementation experience of warehouse automation systems with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) will be an advantage
Experience in partnering with multiple vendors/suppliers that bring WCS, automation equipment and integrating their solution to corporate IT landscape
Understanding of Automation and IT solutions within a warehousing and intralogistics environment, and preferably you have experience working in production environment
Stakeholder management and technical standards knowledge towards the project with autonomy, in a large project organization setup
As a person you work effectively with a natural respect based on your technical skills. Your structural approach allows you to maintain a broad overview while maintaining an eye for the details. You communicate effectively while also securing adherence to technical quality standards.
You work independently, effectively while securing your tasks are completed and must be an excellent teammate and have strong abilities to participate in project teams. You thrive in an environment where new challenges and focus can change quickly, but always with the overall common goal in mind.

DD&IT PS – Fill & Finish Expansions is a program organization - built in a multi-dimensional matrix structure, that’s designed to foster cross-organizational and cross-functional collaboration to shape our future. Our goal is to design and build future-proof, global fill & finish production facilities, with a focus on establishing strong foundational IT and automation that will enable these facilities to digitally evolve. As a member of our department, you will work closely with colleagues responsible for processes and engineering, as well as various technology partners both internally and externally. Our offices for Fill & Finish Expansions are in Lyngby.
