Senior Backend Developer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer for our client in the Pharma Industry. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will have a strong technical background in developing, testing, and maintaining backend systems. You will join the Helperly team, which is a cross-functional scrum team responsible for the development and DevOps of the application.

 

The team delivers solutions to our Product Supply area, specializing in optimizing overall efficiency across the production sites in our client.

 

The application they have built consists of an iOS app using VueJS and Ionic and a C# backend hosted in Azure using Azure Cognitive Search.

 

The product team consists of a PO, a Scrum Master, a Tech Lead, and a team of developers spanning the range of technologies. They have already gone live at some of their factory sites and are working to scale the software to all sites as well as building new features and updating different parts of the application to increase the level of quality and support future needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development using C#/.NET
• Strong experience in Azure cloud computing platform and services
• Experience with Azure AI Search service, API Management service, Azure Functions, Bicep, Azure CosmosDB, and Azure SQL Server
• Strong knowledge of software development principles and design patterns as well as problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in Agile development methodology, test-driven development, and continuous integration
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Experience from the pharma industry
• Relevant educational background
• Valid EU work permit making you able to start right away
• Professional level of English - both oral and written

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Develop, test, and maintain backend systems using Azure Functions in C#/.NET 9
• Utilize and configure Azure AI Search service, including semantic search and custom indexers
• Manage API gateways through API Management service
• Implement infrastructure as code through Bicep, including services, capabilities, and role-based-access-control
• Work with NoSQL databases using Azure CosmosDB
• Integrate BI logic using Azure SQL Server
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and functionalities
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
• Optimize and improve the performance of existing systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to the team
