A key role in supporting the Danish and Norwegian sales units
As a Senior Business Controller, you will be key in supporting the Danish and Norwegian sales units. You will work in the office in Denmark and be part of a dedicated European Northwest business controlling team. You report to the head of business controlling for Region Northwest Europe and collaborate closely with the country directors for Denmark and Norway.
You will be a Business Partner for the local country director and his team, and your tasks range from being a strategic business sparring partner to supporting the regional sales teams. You will, among other things, work with:
Collecting and analysing total market information/development as input for long and short-term forecasting/demand planning
Analysing and evaluating the financial sales performance according to defined KPIs, as well as performing profitability analyses by customer
Collecting, analysing, and presenting information on market shares for Uponor products, important competitors, and products
Following up on cost development and proposing necessary actions, if needed
Monitoring data quality and settings in relevant databases (ERP, BI) and facilitating processes from other departments
Supporting local sales in collecting, analysing, and presenting information on price position for Uponor products and important competitors
Active involvement in month-end closings, annual plans, and forecasts
As a Business Partner, you are an equal member of the local BLD management team, you participate in the European sales controller network and work closely with the Northwest Europe business controlling team. Also, you cooperate and coordinate with the central accounting team in financial matters as well as audit requests.
You will also act as local quotation system administrator and maintainer of the database, and in collaboration with the local sales organisations maintain and analyse price realisation.
Your profile
It is essential that you are customer and business-oriented, and you have a strong interest in getting to know the industry, sales channels, products, etc.
Your background is likely a master's degree in finance, business controlling, economics, or similar. You have experience working with business controlling or being a business partner, ideally in a similar business or another industrial company - and optimally in a multinational company.
You have strong analytical skills and master conceptual thinking with a proactive attitude - and large data sets are just an extra plus for you. As you will interact a lot with your colleagues communicating your findings, you must have good communication skills. You thrive in an environment where you work independently as well as in teams.
Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI are familiar working tools for you. Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems is an advantage. You work equally well in Danish and English, which is the corporate language.
You can look forward to occasional traveling (mainly to Oslo to support the Norwegian business).
Until 1 September 2025, your workplace will be in Brøndby, after which you will be based in Trekroner, Zealand, together with two other GF Building Solutions companies.
