You will play an important role in:

As a Senior Buyer within the Strategic Sourcing team at MAN Energy Solutions in Copenhagen, your role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with our key suppliers all over the world to support the business requirements:

• Category Management: You will develop and maintain the category strategies you are responsible for, to secure the long-term fulfilment of our technical and capacity requirements and contribute to the competitiveness of the company.
• Strategic Sourcing: You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, risks, and costs connected to the category strategy and sourcing process to implement savings and strive for total cost reduction (TCO).
• Supplier Relationship Management: You will build, maintain, develop, and evaluate suppliers on their performance, negotiate Supply Agreements and Price Agreements, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Coordination & Project Management: You will foster constructive relationships with your internal clients and stakeholders, participating in and possibly leading cross-functional projects together with Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Continuous Improvement: You will actively participate in process improvement initiatives, streamlining procurement processes, and enhancing efficiency.

You will also be expected to manage a range of tasks such as, but not limited to, maintaining your contracts and price records, actioning pricing-related workflows, and invoice approval.

We imagine that you:

• Are an experienced Strategic Buyer with a minimum of 3 years of experience and relevant education.
• Have a strategic and analytical mindset.
• Are result-oriented, strong in operations and execution, meeting tight deadlines.
• Can work both independently and as a team player.
• Have strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Have experience with negotiations with an overall technical flair.
• Speak and write English fluently - Danish is not a prerequisite.
• Are an experienced user of MS Office, especially MS Excel, and familiar with ERP systems.
• Have an understanding of Supply Chain functions.
• Knowledge within the area of valves & pumps is a plus.
