Job summary
Turner & Townsend Digital Europe are looking for an exceptional Senior Consultant to join our growing team. The successful applicant will help implement BIM on behalf of our clients across Europe; co-managing the BIM team, taking on line management duties and being responsible for project delivery. The role is to be based in Fredericia, Denmark working on a Datacenter project.
Specific duties
Leading and supporting our team in the implementation of BIM on major projects, programmes and across portfolios.
Authoring of key BIM documentation such as Asset Information Requirements, Employer Information Requirements and where applicable, BIM Execution Plans.
Assessing project teams BIM competency, advising the development of the project BIM Execution Plans and approving on behalf of Client where necessary.
Assure project BIM standards are being followed by project stakeholders reporting key risks and effective mitigations.
Lead model assurance activities including; definition of strategy and approach, model analysis, technical and plain language reporting.
Chair and lead BIM workgroup and Technical BIM sessions with the project team to present outcomes of model assurance activities.
Research, develop and implement areas of new technology, process and emerging best practices.
Continuingly develop in-house standards and capabilities.
Provide support to the wider business with tender bidding teams to win future work.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
Typically, a qualified professional in a relevant discipline, five or more year’s relevant experience in a BIM environment is a key component of the role. The applicant should be familiar with ISO 19650 and other relevant local standards/guidelines. We are looking for someone to be an enthusiastic, proactive self-starters with well-developed communications and analytical skills.
Previous experience working in a BIM environment on a major project, programme or across a large portfolio would be ideal, evidence of BIM courses and modules would strengthen your application. Expected to be numerate and computer literate, competent in at least one of the following ‘model checking’ and ‘model authoring’ software’s:
Solibri Model Checker
Autodesk Navisworks
Graphisoft ArchiCAD
Bentley AECOsim
Nemetschek Vectorworks
Autodesk Revit
Autodesk Construction Cloud/360
You will work with us to develop your technical and management skills through project experience, training and mentorship.
Core competencies
Enthusiastic and positive team player - Giving the project team confidence in the use of BIM
Excellent Communicator – ability to provide clear guidance to the whole project team, in order to coordinate a successful outcome
Experience in writing clear, concise requirements and documentation.
Have an understanding of design, BIM and procurement, and its application in planning and construction management
Have an understanding of BIM Competency Assessments of supply chains
Proven systematic approach to problem solving and model development protocols
Proven experience in multidisciplinary working practices and interdependencies
Proven client facing experience
Up to date knowledge of BIM technology and interoperability standards / good all round technical knowledge and enthusiasm.
