The Position
As a Senior Device Manufacturing Manager you will become a part of a greenfield project to establish a new Novo Nordisk manufacturing site in Tietgenbyen, Odense.
In this role, you will be expected to:
• Set up and operate production equipment ensuring that it meets manufacturing specifications and standards.
• Lead and manage engineering operations by overseeing a team of senior professionals and first-line managers. You will also provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and competencies.
• Design and develop production processes, offering recommendations and implementing changes if needed to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment to prevent downtime, while identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing process.
Your responsibility will be to head up and develop the manufacturing operations department to ensure that we are able to validate our new equipment and the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for managing and developing first-line managers in the department and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. When we have obtained all regulatory approvals, your responsibility will be to ensure an efficient ramp-up of production and drive performance and continuous improvements of the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
• 8+ years of experience in people management within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong GMP knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience in leading senior professionals and first-line managers.
• Ability to adapt departmental plans to address resource and operational challenges.
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills, particularly in resolving disagreements based on valid arguments and facts.
• Ability to maintain a balanced focus on short-term and long-term goals.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt plans and priorities to address changing resource and operational challenges.
If you also possess the below qualifications, that will be considered a plus:
• Experience in greenfield projects.
• Experience in establishing new manufacturing sites and equipment.
• Experience in developing and implementing manufacturing processes and analysis methods for life sciences products.
