Senior Event Manager

TechBBQ is Scandinavia's largest startup and innovation summit, attracting over 10,000 attendees globaly. The event brings together entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and representatives from companies of all sizes. Beyond the annual flagship summit, TechBBQ hosts smaller networking events throughout the year to foster connections and support sustainable growth within the ecosystem.

TechBBQ is seeking a highly diligent and confident candidate for the position of Senior Event Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate efficient event setup, execution, breakdown, and follow-up processes.

• Recruit, Manage and inspire ‘’event day volunteers’’, creating a memorable experience for all involved.

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance attendee engagement and satisfaction.

• Develop and manage event budgets effectively.

• Negotiate vendor contracts to secure the best deals.

• Manage the scope and details of the startup projects such as pitch competitions, including time, date, location, and partners in collaboration with other departments.

• Create, manage, and drive project timelines to meet deliverables and milestones.

• Monitor event logistics and services, including securing technology and equipment. 

• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to coordinate tasks

• Ad hoc - Event coordination and stakeholder management 

Requirements:

• Fluency in written/spoken English/Danish.

• Creative and thinking out of the box.

• Event management and floor production software knowledge will be plus 

•  Prior experience in planning and executing events.

• Excellent interpersonal communication, relationship-building, teamwork, and project management skills.

•  A flexible and open-minded personality.

• A self-starter / doer-mentality. 

• Good organisational and time management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced organisation with changing priorities.

• Able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time.

• It Would be a plus to have an interest in startups and technology.
