Change of Scandinavia A/S is looking for a proactive and business-oriented Senior Finance Business Controller to provide actionable insights and drive decision-making processes that support our retail management teams.

You will join the dynamic Business Finance Team, consisting of 8 skilled professionals across two functions: Business Controlling and BI. Collaboration with Country Management teams in various markets will be a key aspect of your role. 

Areas of responsibilities:

  • Ownership of Market P&Ls
    • Lead Financial Business Reviews with Country Managers to ensure a clear understanding of the P&L, identify opportunities, and proactively develop actionable solutions and plans.
    • Contribute actively to Commercial Business Reviews by providing relevant content and recommendations. 
  • Control and Optimize Salary Costs
    • Plan and monitor labor hours across markets to ensure alignment with targets.
    • Analyze hourly costs per store and take proactive steps to explain and address variances against budget/forecast.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and Performance Follow-Up
    • Take ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned markets.
    • Continuously track and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement. 
  • Month-End Accuracy
    • Play a key role in ensuring accurate and reliable P&L figures during the month-end process.
  • Insight-Driven Analysis and Reporting
    • Provide actionable insights that bridge financial data with operational strategy to enhance transparency and stakeholder decision-making.
    • Deliver detailed analysis of sales trends, campaign results, and other key performance drivers.
  • Business Cases for New Stores
    • Develop P&Ls and investment cases for new store openings.
    • Proactively follow up on approved business cases to ensure alignment with expectations. 

The person
You hold relevant education on university level or similar and have a customer centric mindset. 2-3 years of experience in a position involving accounting and/or reporting, business controlling in a retail organization is required. You feel comfortable when managing several projects simultaneously and you thrive when your work with figures contributes positively to the business.

Professional skills
• Expert level in Excel, MS Office and PowerBI or similar reporting tools is a requirement
• Expert in visualizing data insights
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• High level of IT competencies
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work well structured and to prioritize tasks independently.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including top management
