Senior Finance Controller

The Position
As a Senior Finance Controller at Novo Nordisk, you will:
•    Drive budget processes and monthly follow-ups.
•    Support the monthly closing process and ensure high-quality accounting practices.
•    Provide accurate and timely reporting on project performance, including cost analysis and monthly reporting to management and the steering group.
•    Collaborate closely with project cost controllers and be responsible for monthly controlling documentation.
•    Drive optimizations and streamline processes within cost controlling.
•    Collaborate closely with the other Project Control disciplines to ensure effective project management and control.
 

The workplace is both at our project office in Høje Taastrup and in Tietgenbyen, Odense.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, the candidate should have the following qualifications:
•    Financial background with a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree within Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar.
•    3-5 years of experience in cost controlling and working with financial analysis. 
•    In-depth knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting and forecasts. Previous experience with large scale projects is an advantage.
•    Knowledge of earned value analysis, planning and scheduling techniques, risk management, and change management.
•    Knowledge of project management software and tools, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.
 

As a person, you have excellent communication and stakeholder managements skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. You are expected to be structured and analytical and able to keep an overview, drive tasks and projects forward independently, manage your own time and deliverables, pay timely and appropriate attention to details when needed and be a team player. 

About the Department
The Senior Finance Controller position is based in the Cost Controlling team in the PMO department. Our team support all project tracks in all aspects of cost controlling.
