As an (S) International Medical Director – Clinical Development, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical leadership for all clinical deliverables within the assigned projects.
• Conducting Business Development assessments to identify new opportunities and support strategic decision-making
• Design and develop clinical trial protocols that meet regulatory and scientific standards, ensuring robust data analysis and effective communication
• Identifying and navigating potential challenges, risks, and roadblocks, creating solutions that align with global clinical development strategies
• Fostering collaboration across networks to develop innovative clinical strategies for new treatments and spearheading the expansion of our scientific network.
• Provide medical and scientific support to other functions/areas across Novo Nordisk, including Public Affairs, Market Access, and Global Safety

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualifications:

• MD with 5+ years of experience in clinical development and academia.
• Skills in translational medicine, early drug development, and Phase 1-4 clinical development programs.
• Proven track record of executing clinical trials and interacting with health and regulatory authorities such as the FDA, EMA, PMDA, and CDE
• 5+ years of clinical experience as an endocrinologist or fields such as rheumatology, orthopedics, genetics, pediatrics, or internal medicine.
• Fluent in professional English with the ability to interact effectively with key opinion leaders and stakeholders
• Adept in clinical trial design, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Embodiment of the department’s commitment to individual growth, team spirit, knowledge sharing, and fostering a diverse culture.
• Upholding the principles of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About the department

Medical & Science Rare Disease& Advanced Therapies is part of Clinical Drug Development and situated in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. We are passionate about developing new treatments for rare disorders and span various technologies such as proteins, small molecules, stem cells, and gene therapy as platforms. In your role, you will be part of a team of highly qualified and motivated colleagues. Our area consists of four departments with approximately 40 people, including medical doctors (MDs) and Clinical Pharmacology experts representing more than 13 different nationalities, forming a strong basis for knowledge sharing and scientific discussions as well as a social and diverse environment.
