Senior IT Data Analyst

We are looking for an IT Data Analyst for our client in the Banking Industry. Do you have excellent analytical skills and experience from the financial sector, preferably from the compliance domain?

 

As an IT Data Analyst Consultant, you will be responsible for analysing, modelling, and mapping data from various sources to ensure the successful migration and compliance with regulatory requirements to a new target system. You will work closely with their Compliance and IT teams to maintain data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.T he bank’s Compliance domain are undertaking a crucial Data Migration project. The project concerns Insider List Management & Personal Account Dealing replacing two current system solutions with a new cloud SaaS solution.

 

Location: Greater Copenhagen, hybrid.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

• 5+ Years in Data Analysis: Proven track record of working with data analysis, data modelling, and data mapping.
• Banking and Compliance Experience: Prior experience in the banking sector with a focus on compliance and regulatory standards.
• Data Migration Projects: Extensive experience in executing data migration projects, preferably within the financial services industry.
• ETL Tools and Processes: Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Database Management: In-depth knowledge and experience in managing relational databases.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in programming languages used for data manipulation and scripting.
• Cloud Services: Experience with cloud computing services for data storage and migration.
• Data Analysis and Manipulation: Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and data analysis software
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes: Experience with ETL tools
• Database Management: Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or other relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Data Modelling and Mapping: Ability to design and implement data models and map data from source to target systems. Compare and validate data to requirements.
• Data Extraction and Conversion: Skills in extracting data from various sources and converting it into the desired format.
• Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud services like MS Azure for data storage and migration.
• Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or PL/SQL for data manipulation and scripting.
• Experience from the Banking industry - advantage
• Relevant educational background
• Valid EU work permit making you able to start right away
• Professional level of English - both oral and written

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Perform data analysis and manipulation using technical tools.
• Design and implement data models and map data from source to target system in accordance with compliance regulations.
• Execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using technical tools.
• Manage and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Extract and convert data from various sources for migration purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate and work closely with external cloud service suppliers for data storage and migration.
• Utilize programming languages for data manipulation and scripting.
