Do you thrive in leadership roles and possess exceptional skills in managing the costs, risks, and schedules of intricate projects? Are you looking forward to being part of an experienced and knowledgeable leadership group, reporting directly to the Vice President of the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) IPO (Investment Project Office)?

We believe in providing an environment where strategic vision, leadership skills, and depth of experience are valued and can make a significant impact. The position

As a Senior Manager for Project Controls in API Investment Project Office, your role will involve a variety of key responsibilities that require leadership, strategic understanding, and proficient financial management skills. You will be leading significant areas within the organization and managing a set of multifaceted tasks that underscore the importance of this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing an integrated project controls system with a focus on cost management, risk mitigation, and scheduling for complex projects.
  • Leading essential divisions such as Quality Control, Water, and Warehouse to ensure their efficient and effective operations.
  • Overseeing the planning and scheduling processes while ensuring comprehensive project scope coverage.
  • Maintaining strict financial control through accurate cost estimation, effective budgeting, and diligent tracking.
  • Facilitating risk assessments and managing the complete risk management process, including scope and change management, ensuring all adjustments are evaluated and implemented effectively.

Another significant aspect of your role involves being part of a management group that reports directly to the Vice President. You'll also analyse project performance data, generating useful insights and recommendations for the Project Management team. This critical position demands disciplined execution, strategic vision, and outstanding leadership to achieve successful outcomes for the projects you manage.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine you have:

  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working in a project control capacity, ideally within major investment projects within the pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong leadership background and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within a complex organisation.
  • Excellent understanding of financial processes, cost, risks and schedules.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Furthermore, you exhibit exceptional leadership abilities, being adept at guiding and fostering growth within your team, while inspiring and motivating towards common goals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as this role requires seamless collaboration with internal teams and effective interaction with varied stakeholders.

A high degree of adaptability is needed to navigate and thrive in a constantly evolving work environment, along with keen problem-solving skills and a mindset that thrives on challenges. Your organisational and multitasking abilities will be key in managing both your team and multiple projects simultaneously.
